TeleVox™ and United Way™ Partner to Bring Christmas Trees to Mobile Families

Mobile, AL, December 10, 2007 — Televox Software, a leading provider of communication technology solutions located in Mobile, announces a donation of Christmas trees to families throughout the city.

The Christmas trees were purchased through Laura Kay’s Nursery (5600 Cottage Hill Road) as part of the decor for TeleVox’s annual Christmas party, held December 8th at the University of South Alabama Mitchell Center. A total of 25 six- and seven-foot live frasier fir trees filled the floor of the arena to provide holiday ambience for the celebration.

TeleVox worked with the United Way of Southwest Alabama to distribute the trees to local families. Through coordination with its 58 partner agencies, the United Way was able to place all 25 trees in the homes of Mobilians. Each tree was delivered in a stand and lit with 300 lights. The trees were also pre-treated to be fire repellent.

“We are so thankful for this opportunity to help members of our community,” says Lisa Taylor, Senior Vice President of Operations for TeleVox. “Our company was started in Mobile 15 years ago, and we truly feel that this city’s strong sense of community has been a great asset to us.” Taylor adds, “We are honored to help make Christmas a little merrier for those less fortunate.”

“On behalf of United Way of Southwest Alabama and our 58 Partner Agencies, we gratefully acknowledge this heartfelt donation,” said Angelo Miller, Executive Director of United Way of Southwest Alabama. “Through your generosity, United Way is able to make an immediate difference in the lives of families across Southwest Alabama that otherwise may not have had this opportunity.”

TeleVox regularly conducts charitable events and orchestrates fundraising activities through its internal community outreach group, The Sunshine Committee. The Christmas tree donation is the latest community activity for the company. In October, The Sunshine Committee planned a month’s worth of fundraising for Reach to Recovery, a breast cancer support organization. TeleVox also coordinates blood drives with the American Red Cross and United Blood Services, and employees have donated their time to build local homes for Habitat for Humanity.
